random -- stripped Ray Ban Aviator screw

Who knows, maybe this will help someone.

Suppose that you need to swap out the lenses on your aviators (RB3025 / RB3050). A screw has previously been damaged or is otherwise uncooperative. You're pretty clear you'll never need to perform this operation again. You don't want to go to a professional. You tried the 'microfiber cloth' trick.

This actually worked: 1/16th inch drill. Drill out the screw head, down to the ~halfway mark where the screw will then relinquish its grip on the frame. Take care to minimize frame damage - and err on the side further from the lens. You'll feel the clamp release.

Now you can swap out the lens, and glue the frame back together.
